Requirements
We are building a new bank in Romania, starting from the ground up, with mobile banking at its core. This is a rare opportunity to join a greenfield banking program and help shape digital customer journeys, operating models, and platforms from day one.
To support this initiative, we are looking for a Middle to Senior Business Analyst with solid banking experience, ideally in payments or digital channels, who can work closely with business stakeholders and implementation teams to translate vision into high-quality, executable requirements.
The core digital platform will be Backbase, which we will implement and customize to support our mobile-first strategy.
What you will do
As a Business Analyst on this program, you will play a key role throughout the delivery lifecycle:
Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for digital banking capabilities, with a strong focus on mobile banking and payments
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand customer journeys, regulatory needs, and operational constraints
Translate business needs into clear, structured documentation (epics, features, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria)
Organize and facilitate refinement sessions, groomings, and workshops with product owners, developers, and architects
Actively support the implementation team during development, testing, and rollout, clarifying requirements and managing changes
Ensure alignment between business objectives, technical design, and Backbase platform capabilities
Contribute to building ways of working suitable for a greenfield, agile environment
What we are looking for
You are a structured thinker who enjoys collaboration and understands how modern banks are built.
Required experience:
Several years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking or financial services domain
Hands-on involvement in digital banking projects, ideally mobile banking
Solid understanding of payments, cards, accounts, or transactional flows (strong advantage)
Proven experience working in agile delivery setups
Strong skills in requirements elicitation, documentation, and stakeholder communication
Nice to have:
Experience with Backbase or similar digital banking platforms
Good technical understanding (APIs, integrations, system landscapes), even if you are not hands-on
Experience in greenfield programs or major platform implementations
Familiarity with regulatory or compliance-driven requirements in banking
